I am so excited because last night Daniel and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary together!!!!! :) Right now we feel like we are a powerhouse as a couple, but we have been through some very challenging times because of our own hard-headedness, selfishness, pride, or thoughtless impulses and actions BUT I am so thankful to be able to say that everything that we've been through has made us stronger, tougher, more full of grace and understanding. There is no such thing as an easy marriage (don't believe anyone who tells you that there is), but you sure can overcome unbelievable odds if you are patient, can persevere and are willing to fight when all hope seems lost. And be humble. And forgive. And not always have to have your own way. And be willing to sacrifice.
See? Hard work. But all of that work pays off 1,000 fold!!! Daniel is my best friend, my confidant, my shoulder to cry on, my rock, my lover, he reads me and I read him and there is no judgement between us... and neither of us ever goes without what we need or want! When we screw up, we help each other get back up and we support each other - we are in a place that only hard work can get you AND IT IS WORTH EVERY EFFORT, TEAR AND SELFLESS ACT! I love him with all of my heart, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!!!!!! <3 What are some of the things that you believe have helped make your relationship successful?
Now I want to talk about summer legs. ;-)

Hey, I hope that all is well with you!!! So today I was wondering: along with kettlebells and bodyweight workouts, what else do you enjoy doing for exercise? The one thing that I have loved since I was a teenager is RUNNING! For me it's more than just the endorphins and challenge, even though they are two of the things I love most about working out in general, but it's so much more than that. It's a feeling of freedom and absorbing myself in nature. As often as I can I go to the parks and trails near my house to go for a run because I love the sounds and smells. It doesn't matter what time of year it is, there is always something going on: whether the leaves are turning, the fragrant flowers are blooming, the birds singing, the squirrels... you name it! There is always something beautiful and wonderful happening, and in winter it's nice to know that there is still life when we are trying to stay warm and everything looks so dull.
That may be silly or romantic, but that's what I feel. :) Is exercising for you a chore, a challenge, a way to lose weight... or is it something more for you? What are your thoughts on the topic?

SPRING IS ALMOST HERE!!! I am so happy because the leaves are about to make everything green again! My daffodils are getting ready to bloom, my tulip shoots are over a foot out of the ground and IT IS GETTING WARMER! Everything is coming back to life and you can smell it in the air, to me even the sky looks happy. We were able to get out this weekend to our favorite park and go hiking. We overdid it and hiked over 4 miles including climbing rocks & boulders, we are wiped out today! But we got to see the most beautiful views and we had the park almost to ourselves. I was actually surprised that more people weren't out enjoying the weather, I guess that many people aren't ready to come out of hibernation yet; I couldn't imagine staying home when it's sunny and 65*! I am outside working out as soon as I can, and I was so happy to be able to make my very first outdoor workout video of the year. :)

These past couple of weeks have been chaotic - and I am starting to see that I just need to get used to the fact that chaotic is just the way life is going to be for the next couple of years until I graduate. Some really fun news though: as most of you probably know, Indianapolis hosted this year's Super Bowl and IT WAS SUCH A BLAST! We went downtown to do the NFL Experience in the Convention Center (which was lame and we will not do it again) and the people were amazing. Indiana has a reputation for having this great Hoosier hospitality, but I really enjoyed talking to the visitors. Everyone was in a great mood and the atmosphere was incredible; we met people from New York, Massachusetts, Washington state, Florida, California... just all over! Dan wore his Tom Brady - and the Patriots are our BITTER ENEMIES! - so he did get some heckles, and I proudly wore my Colts shirt and gave high-fives to everyone that made fun of my husband... just like a good wife should. ;-) We saw some famous people which never happens here in Indiana... well, I guess we do see some athletes, but most notably we passed Chris Evans on the sidewalk - Chris Evans plays Captain America and Johnny Storm in Fantastic 4. I don't get all googly-eyed over movie starts, but I have to say that Chris Evans is BEAUTIFUL in real life - I mean STUNNING. His eyes are so brilliantly bright... and this is exactly the part where Daniel started making fun of him and rolling his eyes at me. LOL, jealous much? :p I hope you enjoy the pictures I posted below the workout, the entire city was so proud to be able to host one of the biggest events in sports.
