Ingredients:
Stove is heated on medium. Add tomatoes first, then lentils and beans (in no particular order). I absolutely love the flavor of garlic, that is why I add it after the heating of ingredients has already begun instead of frying it in a pan with olive oil before I add the rest of the ingredients. If you would prefer to cook it first that is entirely up to you and your heart's desire. :) Add the pepper, salt and oregano. Allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes after it's heated. The longer you let it sit, the better but we usually can't wait to dig in after smelling it!!! Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions let me know: I love to cook and to try new things. :) |
This recipe is so easy to make! I was at Trader Joe's (my favorite place on Earth :p) and they had a demo station for this yummy combination of tomatoes, lentils and white beans. I have made lentils before, but I make them a bit differently and thought they way that they did it was delish -I added my own flair to it, but I have to give all props to TJ's for the idea.
