Fall into Fitness

  1. Interesting weather! It messed with my camera, but that's okay - we can improvise. ;-)
  2. I have had a lot of time to think about what new things I'd like to try when I finally start working out regularly again, these are just a few of the different compound bodyweight exercises I came up with.
  1. The workout:
  1. 5 Rounds of....:
  2. Walk-out Burpees - 5 reps on each side
  • start from standing forward folded position and hand-walk out, push up, burpee, walk back in (there should be 2 push ups - one after the walk out and before the walk in)
  1. Rear Lunge/1 Leg Squat Thrust - 5 reps on each side
  • just like it sounds: but during the squat thrust, try to keep the extended or "free" leg flexed and tight from the glute so it does knock you off balance, keep the core TIGHT. trying not to let your "rest" foot touch the ground is a great challenge.
  1. Half Burpee with Alternating Knee to Elbow- 5 reps on each side
  • from plank position: feet jump in then back out, bring one knee to the opposite elbow then switch - this is one rep
  1. Squat Jumps
  • nice and easy for the brain after the previous exercises :p

My time: 15:58

Love it! Thanks for sharing! I'm going to add the walk-out burpees tonight into my workout

How did it go? I loved the walkout burpees, that was my favorite part of the workout - I really felt it in my shoulders.

Melissa,
So glad to see you back into the swing of things. I did this workout yesterday and really enjoyed the variety and the mental challenge that came from trying to perform these more complex moves.

That's why I had to put in jump squats - there had to be something to let your brain thaw between sets

Hugs,
Melissa
