40/20 Interval Fat Killer

Now that the weather is nice again, I am having a lot of fun doing the workouts that I did outdoors last summer - including this one. This interval workout will kill any fat that tries to cross its path as well as make you feel just flat out AWESOME for attempting it! You do need a variety of equipment, but you can make do with whatever you may have around the house.

 

 

 

 

Equipment needed:

 

  1. jump rope - but if you don't have one it's easy to modify, just grab 1# weights or cans
  2. pull-up bar, or gym rings
  3. something to jump on, I used a cooler (I had to move it to stabilize it)
  4. kettlebells or 2 weights of the same ##

 

The Workout:

40 seconds of hard work, 20 seconds of rest each exercise - WORK YOUR HARDEST! It doesn't work if you don't.

  1. Jump rope - I did high knees because they are hardest
  2. Jumping Pull-ups
  3. Box Jumps
  4. Half-Burpees
  5. Squat Springs
  6. Double Thrusters
  7. 1:20 rest

Repeat 4 times

If you aren't sweating then you aren't doing something right. ;)

  • JPU: 12, 10, 9, 10
  • BJ: 12, 11, 10, 13
  • 1/2B: 20, 17, 10, 18
  • SS: 20, 17, 20, 18
  • DT: 14, 13, 12, 12

Thank you! My husband doesn't like it when I work out in "his" garage, but it has such a nice breeze when I leave the kitchen door open.
