Kettlebell Total Body Fat Burning
Written by Melissa

  1. ***Make sure you watch the end of the video for an explanation of each of these exercises. This really is an advanced workout, so make sure you have the form down before attempting. :)
  2. 3 Clean & Press to a Windmill, on each side
  3. 5 Rear Lunge to a Squat, alternating Lunges after each squat (watch to end of vid for details)
  4. 7 In and Out Push ups
  5. Repeat this circuit for a Total of 5 Rounds
  6. *I also did this, but it wasn't included in the vid because of time:
  • set time for 3 rounds of 10 seconds rest and 1:15 of work and complete the following exercises:
  • *In and Out Push-ups
  • *Alternating Rear Lunges
  • *Alternating Cleans

So it doesn't look like much, huh? But stick a fork in me I was done! after I did this, and it took less than 20 minutes. As friends have said this week: there are some workouts that look so easy on paper, but once you do them it knocks you out! This was it for me. :)

If you have any questions about this workout, let me know. I am writing this in the middle of getting ready for vacation! I will answer back as soon as I can.

  1. Hugs,
  2. Melissa

Great work Melissa. What is the cool music?

Windmills are tough over 12kg. You have to keep your eye on that bell or it wants to go all over the place!

It's tobyMac, Hey Devil. I always thought that Christian music was boring... until I heard him!

I am so happy to be doing kettlebells again, you have NO idea! I am even taking Athena (my 12kg) on vacation with us when we leave tonight. I have been paying special attention to my form since I hurt myself, so I am going to really focus on swings and TGUs while we are away.

See you later Phil!
Melissa

Cool. Kettlebells are really handy on trips. I take them with me too. TGU's are really good for pulling everything together. Don't do less than 10 per side to get a good burn (5 and 5 then 5 and 5)! I like this one on the road:

6 1 arm swings R&L
6 Thrusters R&L (Squat then up into a press)
6 snatches R&L
6 1 arm squats R&L
6 Push presses R&L
x 6 rounds for time.

Does not take up any room and you can do it all in front of a mirror.
