Back in the Game!!!

IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE BACK!!!

I was in such a slump for the past few weeks, starting old bad eating habits - almost ready to undo what I have worked so hard to build up over the last 9 months. I was having a lot of sleepless nights and strange dreams, and it wasn't until last week I realized that the cause was me not being humble and giving in my relationships. As soon as I got that figured out I talked to the right people and then everything fell into place. BUT now is a best case scenario, everything is lined up so that I can set myself up for victory: great family and friend relationships, kids are happy and thriving, cross country season is settling down and I am getting back into my old routine. :D

I am not sure how to catagorize this workout - not sure if it's advanced or intermediate, maybe you guys can help me with that one. It was hard, but my body had a hard time moving because of my workout yesterday... and it's really weird but I didn't start sweating until the middle of the 2nd round even though I was struggling and panting. Anyhoo, here is a breakdown of this workout:

  1. AMRAP Couplets, 5 minutes for 3 segments
  2. Segment 1:
  • 2 pull ups
  • 10 swings
  1. Segment 2:
  • 5 Snatches on each side
  • 5 Sit ups (this was barely a break from the snatches!)
  1. Segment 3:
  • 3 Burpees
  • 10 Reptiles

The last round is actually a lot harder than it looks. My shoulders and abs were BURNING! I hope that you enjoy it, and HUGS EVERYONE!!! :D

Way to get back in the game. I’ve been out for about 5 weeks now with torn ligaments in my ankle and an achilles injury (from hill runs also), and it’s strange how awkward your feel at first. I’m with a on the flexibility thing. I hope I can start running some next week, but we’ll see. Feel ya on the weight gain also….sucks, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Good luck, keep workin’ hard. You’ve inspired me to work on my pull-ups, so thanks for tha. 

Are you running again? I am still having problems - even just walking I get crampy and sore.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Missy, It is certainly hard to admit... I want to be able to do everything dangit!!!
I feel like I am just now returning - it's not usual but it's actually easier for me to stay on top of things during the holidays than the beginning of autumn.

I'm so glad to have you here!
